5 Incredible Venues for Conferences and Corporate Events in Dublin

Photographing Conferences and Events at The Convention Centre Dublin

One of my favourite places to photograph conferences in Dublin. The iconic building on Dublin’s quays has won over 45 industry awards!

Here’s what the Dublin Convention Bureau have to say about The Convention Centre Dublin….

The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) is an inspirational setting for meetings with fantastic views of the city. Winners of over 45 industry awards, including ‘World’s Leading Meetings & Conference Centre’ 2019 and 2017 at the World Travel Awards, the venue has 22 multi-functional, flexible rooms, suitable for meetings, conferences and exhibitions of up to 8,000 delegates. It boasts a 1,995 seat auditorium, 4,500 square meters of exhibition space, banqueting for up to 3,000 guests and six foyer spaces. With panoramic views of the city, the bay and surrounding mountains, these unique foyer spaces flood the venue with natural light and offer the perfect setting for registration and hospitality.

The CCD offers a full suite of expert services on-site, and is the second venue in Europe, and third worldwide, to receive a Healthy Venue accreditation. As one of the most technologically sophisticated venues in the world, it features state of the art equipment in every room, complimentary Wi-Fi for 22,000 devices and advanced communications, lighting, sound, rigging and IT solutions to enhance every event.

The venue is close to Dublin’s top cultural and tourist attractions and 20,000 competitively priced hotel rooms are within easy reach.

Photographing Conferences and Events at Aviva Stadium

Whether I am working, or getting out to a match Aviva Stadium is top of my list for Dublin venues! So many amazing memories of going to Ireland and Leinster matches at the old Lansdowne Road as a kid and now getting to go there to games with my kids making new memories. It’s a beautiful bright venue to photograph events and conferences in.

Here’s what the Dublin Convention Bureau have to say about The Convention Centre Dublin….

Aviva Stadium has over 50 unique spaces to accommodate both small or large meetings & events all located within the modern and stunning venue. We are the home of Irish Rugby and Football. Unlike other International Stadium venues, as the home to two national teams it is very brand neutral in decor throughout the event spaces, making it suitable for a large array of events and clients.

The spaces are suitable for a 2 person meeting, 1000 people for a conference, 1200 people for gala dinners & 3500 people for reception style events- the possibilities are endless. We understand food must be at the fore-front of our offering and our in- house catering team create unique, healthy, multi- award winning menus, delivered by our passionate and experienced team.

Photographing Conferences and Events at Croke Park

Such a unique venue to have a conference, or event in. Beautiful and full of light to photograph in. Croke Park is an incredible backdrop for any event, or conference in Dublin. More than that though Croke Park is steeped in history, it’s intertwined in Dublin life. Added to this the events team are second to none. I wonderful place to get to go to photograph conferences in Dublin.

Croker is the third largest stadium in Europe and has been home to the GAA for over a hundred years.

Photographing Conferences and Events at The Royal Dublin Society

Again, another beautiful space to take photos and a part of Dublin for longer than I can remember. The RDS is home to Leinster Rugby, The Dublin Horse Show and my college exam! Not the best memories from the exams personally, but lots of good Leinster and Horse Show ones!!

The RDS is Ireland’s largest exhibition and conference centre, with a total capacity of 12,000.

Photographing Conferences and Events at Dublin Castle Conference Centre

Sounding like a broke record at this stage, but another beautiful, bright space. Right smack, bang in the middle of Dublin. The castle was the seat of British power in Ireland in the past.

Here’s what the Dublin Convention Bureau have to say about The Convention Centre Dublin….

Dublin Castle’s conference, reception and dining facilities were purpose built for Ireland’s presidencies of the European Union, in this unique, city centre historical and cultural setting. Each area has its own architectural flavour and can be hired as individual units for a variety of uses.

When booking your function, please inquire about delegate tours of the Castle. The State Apartments are among the most prestigious State Rooms in the country and dominate the south range of the Great Courtyard in Dublin Castle. They were built as the residential and public quarters of the Viceregal Court and are now the venue for inaugurations of the Irish Presidents and other prestigious state functions.

The State Apartments can be made available for a very limited number of appropriate corporate dinners and receptions.

Ah Sure One More Amazing Venue for the Road…..

Photographing Conferences and Events at Trinity College Dublin

The most central of all the locations! It’s like photographing a conference at Hogwarts! Trinity is a gorgeous space to have a conference and right beside my studio, so handy for me commute wise!!

You’re in pretty good company in Trinity with past pupils such as Oscar Wilde, Jonathan Swift, Bram Stoker, Samuel Beckett, more recently and possibly to a lesser extent Chris De Burgh!

Here’s what the Dublin Convention Bureau have to say about The Convention Centre Dublin….

Trinity offers modern tiered theatres, meeting rooms, exhibition space, in-built registration, stunning reception or gala dinner venues, cobbled courtyards and historical architecture. With over 600 bedrooms also on campus, immerse yourself in our iconic venue and experience our unique spaces first hand. Close to Grafton Street, and a stone’s throw from Temple Bar, Trinity College Dublin is at the centre of the city’s entertainment, cultural and shopping areas and is undoubtedly Dublin’s most fashionable address. Set on some 40 acres of cobbled squares and immaculate lawns and surrounded by breathtaking architecture spanning four centuries, it is a unique place to hold your event and stay while in Dublin.
